2025-06-12: Service Disruption (Google Cloud Platform)
  • Status: Resolved
  • Description: GCP experienced a global service disruption that affected the internet as a whole. Our services which rely upon GCP were, in turn, disrupted as an effect.
  • Original Communication: From 7.51 PM CEST, the Digiexam Portal Service is affected by a service interruption in Google Cloud Platform. This is a global disruption and affects Digiexam and many other platforms and services using GCP. We, at Digiexam, are closely monitoring for updates.
    The interruption makes our exam platform unavailable. More information can be found on the official Google Cloud status page.
    Any student’s answers from ongoing exams should be unaffected due to our offline capability and local storage. Students may be required to hand-in via USB, or that they may hand in at a later time when the GCP is no longer affected.

Student App Status

2025-10-23: Network Service Disruption
  • Status: Resolved
  • Time to resolution: 30 minutes
  • Description: The backend infrastructure experienced a disruption that caused the student app to lose network connectivity. This affected login (authentication) and hand-in of exams online.
  • Original Communication: As a result of the service interruption in our backend infrastructure, students who are attempting to log in to the client app or start exams may experience an error indicating no network status despite having a network connection.
    Students that need to start exams can start them with a USB that contains the downloaded exam start file. Any student answers from ongoing exams should be unaffected due to the application's offline capabilities and local storage functions. Students may be required to hand-in via USB, but will be able to hand in normally after the solution is implemented.
2025-10-16: Network Service Disruption

  • Description: The backend infrastructure experienced a disruption where student devices could not reach the backend when connecting to content (exam lists, exam content).
  • Original Communication: As a result of the service interruption in our backend infrastructure, students who are attempting to log in to the client app or start exams may experience an error indicating no network status despite having a network connection.
    Students that need to start exams can start them with a USB that contains the downloaded exam start file. Any student answers from ongoing exams should be unaffected due to the application's offline capabilities and local storage functions.
